ACCESSIBILITY

Accessibility
statement.

Laundry day should work for everyone. Here's how we're making our site and our store accessible.

Last updated July 10, 2026

Express Laundry Center is committed to making both our Knoxville laundromat and our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is part of how we respect our customers' time and dignity.

Our website

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Steps we take include:

  • Semantic, keyboard-navigable HTML with clear headings and landmarks.
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and readable text alternatives for graphics.
  • Strong color contrast and text that scales without breaking the layout.
  • Labeled forms and clear focus states for interactive elements.
  • Respect for "reduced motion" browser settings where animations are used.

In our facility

  • Accessible parking close to the entrance and a step-free path to the door.
  • Wide aisles between machines to accommodate wheelchairs and carts.
  • An attended, well-lit space with staff happy to assist with machines and loading.
  • Drop-off wash & fold and pickup & delivery for customers who can't easily do laundry on-site.

Ongoing effort & known limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. Some third-party tools and older content may not yet fully meet our standards. We review the site regularly and fix issues as we find them. If something isn't working for you, we want to hear about it.

Give us feedback

If you encounter a barrier on our website or in our store, or need information in a different format, please contact us — we'll do our best to help and to fix the issue:

When you contact us, please describe the problem and, if it's on the website, the page and what you were trying to do. We'll follow up as quickly as we can.
